Valerie's 4!

Our baby girl turned 4 on April 25th. Little Miss Valerie is so full of life. She is independent, strong-willed, smarter than a 4-year-old should be, fun, and so stinkin' cute that she gets away with way more then she should. I love being her mom. I love when she's mad at me and I hear her saying "hers NOT beautiful, hers NOT cute, hers NOT pretty, and hers DUMB!" It's great; makes me laugh every time. Her latest one that is really funny is when she tells me I'm ruining her life. What 4 year old says that?? Mine does, and she's great. :) 

Valerie loves stuffed animals, so Darryl and I took her to build-a-bear to celebrate her birthday. 

I tried to convince her to get one of the girly bears or hello kitty doll, but she had her mind set on the dog. She loves dogs and puppies, so that's what she got.

She walked around with her hands in her pockets the whole time like she was just chillin' and calling all the shots. It was entertaining.

She succored this poor man into getting her all the accessories she wanted for her dog

We stopped at Ruby's for lunch afterwards and she clearly loved all the attention she was getting from mom and dad.

She also had some special visitors stop by to give her a gift the night before her actual birthday. It's got to be hard when you have 20-something grandkids to keep up with all their birthdays, but they manage to do it.  They rock!

Valerie wanted to have a couple of her friends spend the night on her birthday, so I made them some puppy cupcakes to enjoy!

Valerie got these barbie dolls from my parents. They were part of my grandma Hicken's doll collection and I'm glad she has them now to play with!
