Backyard Campout

Our spring break this year was pretty uneventful. Being on a tight budget doesn't help much in the category of going out and doing fun things with your kids. So for the last night of spring break we invited some friends and family over for a backyard campout. We sat around the fire and made s'mores and the kids ran around like crazy and had fun! It was a freezing cold night in the tent and I was very tempted to sneak back in the house while the kids were sleeping, but I stuck it out...numb toes and all. In the end it was a win-win situation; we didn't have to spend money and the kids thought it was great!
