HAWAII!!

Darryl and I went to Hawaii last week!! My parents wanted to give us a break from the kids and all the daily stresses of life, so they took us with them to Maui and we had an amazing time. It was seriously the most relaxed either of us have been in a LONG time, and it was wonderful. We both feel so grateful to my mom and dad for giving us a great vacation we couldn't possibly have afforded on our own at this point in our lives. It was just what we needed!

I know it's cheesy, but I couldn't resist!

Darryl and my dad went scuba diving. Darryl loved it and really wants to get certified now. I don't know why they like it because I almost hyperventilated just trying to snorkel.

While the boys were gone, the girls played! Mom and I shopped, ate, swam, and did some of this...

I have never liked swimming in the ocean in California. It's dirty, freezing cold, and the waves are too choppy. Totally different story in Hawaii. The water is really clear, warm, and the waves are so small. I really enjoyed swimming in the ocean for the first time in my life! We spent a lot of time doing this.

Can't go to Hawaii without getting a hawaiian shaved ice...while wearing a hawaiian flower in your hair

       Enjoying a beautiful sunset

It was hard to leave these guys for a whole week because we've never done that before, but they had a blast with Aunt Annemarie and all their cousins! We wanted to stay in Hawaii for another year or so, but I don't think Annemarie would have liked that too much. :)

We hope to go back someday....

My kids got Hawaii shirts too. :) Swimming in the ocean was the most surprising part to me - that I actually loved to do it! Bryan wants to get certified too, crazy.

I love the picture of you and Darrly in front of all the green plants. You are a beautiful Michelle. That all seems so dreamy...
