Christmas Tree Adventure

Every year when Christmas time rolls around, I am tempted to get an artificial tree. Just because it's less of a mess, you only have to buy it once, and let's just face it....it's easier! Thankfully Darryl brings me back to my senses and helps me realize what a great and fun tradition it is to go pick out a tree with the kids. It's one of my very favorite childhood Christmas memories, and I know my kids love it too. I think we chose the windiest day of December to get our tree, but it was the only day we had, so off we went!

The kids were anxious to go find a tree, but mommy had to stop and make them pose for a picture

My favorite picture of the day. Santa didn't want to look at our camera. But that's okay since Kyle was having sweet dreams of Christmas morning instead of looking at the camera.

I know, such cute kids. :)

After choosing a tree, changing our mind, choosing a tree, changing our mind a bazillion times, they all started blending together and looking exactly the same. We finally just chose one and cut it down, and once we got it home we realized the trunk had a severe case of scoliosis. It was funny.

Daddy cut the tree down and the boys held it up for him.

Valerie really wanted to help carry the tree to the car :)

I'm glad we stuck with the tradition. We had fun. :)

One of these years I want to do a real Christmas tree! I loved that tradition as a kid too. It's just too easy to go cheap and use the fake one every year ;)
