Darryl's been wanting to take me shooting for a long time now, so we finally set up a day to do it. We went with Darryl's parents and some of his siblings and it was actually pretty fun. I was nervous at first, but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it.
We spent a majority of the time shooting the shot guns. They were HEAVY and I didn't enjoy the bruise I had on my shoulder the next day from the kick-back.
The hand guns were my favorite. I shot Darryl's little pistol and his glock. Darryl was a good coach!
I wanted to make sure I would know how to properly operate the gun Darryl leaves at home for me for protection. Let's just face it, there are a lot of crazy people out there nowadays and you just never know if the time will come where you as a mother have to step up and protect your home and kids.
So don't try to break into my house or you're going to see this thing pointing at your nose....

Way to go, girl! You look so serious. I won't worry, knowing you have it all under control! :)
I meant NOW I won't worry.
Ray is dying to have me shoot a gun! I'll be sure to keep this little outing a secret from him!! He will be so jealous!! I feel bad for the guy that tries to break into your home..he's goin down!! :o)
Looks like fun! And you look like you've had a gun in your hands all of your life :)
I wish we could have gone with you guys!
Check out those ripped triceps! Woot! I went shooting with Charles when we were dating but, to be honest I am scared of the sound the gun makes when it's cocked. I know, I'm a wuss. I need to try it again someday.
